Andi Otto
I'm a composer of electronic music and I play the cello and drums. On a permanent quest for inspiring, eye-level musical collaborations, I have traveled to Rwanda, South-India or Japan. I produce music which I release and play in clubs & festivals, but also for dance performances and theatre plays. I work with the labels Shika Shika, Multi Culti and Pingipung (which is in fact my own label).
Researching about interfaces between bodies and sound, I have extended my cello bow with movement sensors, which makes a completely new instrument (which I call 'Fello'): I can play the live-sampled cello sound with gestures in the air.
