Prizes & Awards
The Top 3 winning teams were awarded a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration with global stars: African legend and five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo, Afrobeats hitmaker and Grammy nominee Pheelz, and Ghanaian pop icon Wiyaala. Each team was invited to a renowned studio to professionally re-produce their song in collaboration with the guest artist, who had personally selected the track as their favorite. Beyond Music covered all travel, accommodation, and production costs – including a music video and international marketing to ensure the song reaches a global audience. All three singles will be submitted to the new Grammy category “Best Song for Social Change”.
An additional 20 songs received awards, totaling up to 85,000 US dollars in prize money. Their tracks were newly mastered and released alongside the Top 3 on the album Beyond Music Vol.4 – Social Change. Supported by a significant marketing campaign, the album and all 23 songs are now being shared with the world – amplifying voices for change across borders. All 23 artist teams also benefit from the ongoing promotion and exploitation of their tracks.
The Outcome
The submissions for Beyond Music Vol.4 – Social Change brought together 754 artists from 108 countries, creating 199 powerful songs using 472 instruments. Rising to the challenge of crafting music for social change, our artists transformed urgent issues – women’s empowerment, the end of violence, sexual assault, unity, peace, resilience, the power of femininity, and the importance of self-love and self-belief – into vibrant, emotive soundscapes. They addressed knife crime, lack of advocacy, and the call to stop fighting and start healing. The result is a global musical statement – an ode to resilience, solidarity, and the belief that music can spark real, lasting transformation for a better world. Each composition is a testament to the courage of those who raise their voices for change. Together, they echo a collective hope that transcends borders and speaks to our shared humanity.

In September 2024, recordings for the Top 3 winning songs began with the track “Chica de Favela.” The artists behind the song were invited to Paris for six unforgettable days. The city is home to guest artist Angélique Kidjo, "Mama Africa", who had selected David Donatien as producer – her long-time collaborator with whom she won two Grammys for the albums Celia and Mother Nature. The winners first gathered at David’s studio just outside Paris, where he introduced his creative vision for the track. The recording sessions then moved to the legendary Studios Ferber whose halls have welcomed countless music icons, joined by Angélique’s full band: Thierry Vaton on Rhodes and synth, guitarist Amen Viana, bassist Rody Cereyon, drummer Gregory Louis, and David Donatien himself on percussion. Angélique spent meaningful time with the artists, crafting and recording a new vocal part that brought her unmistakable energy to the song. A film crew documented the process, capturing the vibrant, collaborative atmosphere for the music video. In the evenings, the team explored Paris – and celebrated their shared success.
Siddhartha El Primero was born and raised in Venuezuela, He started his singing career by covering songs of famous Venezuelan folklore artists. Latin Pop and Reggaeton are his favourit genres. Life is the inspiration for his songs.

In October 2024, production of the second Top 3 winning song “Get Wise” took place in Zurich, featuring guest artist Wiyaala, the “Lioness of Africa.” She was joined by singer Ah Moon from Myanmar, American-Swiss lyricist Kate Northrop, and German producer BK Duke. Together, they were invited to spend six days in the Swiss capital – the home of hit producer Dodo. He envisioned transforming the track into a powerful dance anthem carrying a strong message of women’s empowerment. The team worked to fuse vocal parts, fresh arrangements, and dynamic beats into a cohesive whole. Their energy was contagious, full of joy, creativity, and connection. It wasn’t just a recording session – it was a celebration of artistic freedom, cultural exchange, and bold female voices rising in harmony. The studio pulsed with laughter, rhythm, and the unshakable belief that music can move hearts and spark change. The studio days were long, the evenings all the more rewarding. The music video was filmed afterward by an all-female crew who poured their hearts into the production, adding a carefully choreographed dance performance that gave the visual storytelling even more impact. The result is more than a song – it’s a statement, and an invitation to rise.

„Stay Together“ with Pheelz

In November 2024, Beyond Music concluded its production series with the third Top 3 winning song “Stay Together” in Lagos, Nigeria - home to Afrobeats star and guest artist Pheelz. We invited composer and lead singer Marshall Muze from Nigeria and Zambian vocalist Naimah for six creative days in the vibrant city. Ella Rose from England, co-writer and background singer, was unable to join the team on-site for health reasons, yet her creative presence was strongly felt. Recording took place at the famous Ogidi Studios, where many of Africa’s greatest music legends have recorded. Pheelz brought his signature artistry to the track, contributing striking vocals and reimagining the arrangement in collaboration with Marshall Muze. Naimah added poignant lyrics for her vocal part, giving the song a fresh emotional texture. The music video was filmed on Tarkwa Bay, a beach accessible only by boat. This unique setting provided ideal conditions for the large film crew to visually amplify the song’s message into a powerful artistic statement: staying connected, even when the world feels distant or divided.
Marshall Muze is a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and producer. Starting in church, he was in a boy band and gospel group. Now a top talent in Nigeria, he is known for powerful lyrics. A graduated lawyer, he is also a creative director and activist.
Heather Ella Rose is a musician, singer, composer, and international museum installation artist working with film, music, and soundscapes. She has been a session singer, voice teacher, choir director, and has a deep love for world music.
