Kay 9ice is the stage name of Philip Kwaku Kissi , A Ghanaian Afro-pop, AfroBeat, Highlife and Hiplife singer and songwriter.
Kay 9ice born in Tema in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
He got introduced to music in the year 2013 and joined a Tema based Music group called Rekx bois.
He hails from Akoefe in the Volta Region and has worked with artists like : Yaa Pono, Cweku Ryan , Tsoobi, KK fosu, Ofori Amposah and more within these few years.
Kay 9ice shared stage with numerous nationally recognized acts including ,Stonebwoy, Flowking Stone, Sarkodie, r2Bees, Strongman, Yaa Pono, Teeplow, Guru among others.
Kay 9ice’s major breakthrough song is “Wobeti” which is a refix of Sarkodie’s “ RNS ”. A song that made waves till it got featured on BBC6 Introducing Mixtape and extension of BBC Radio.
Kay 9ice got songs such as “Sika b3BA”, “Alele”, “Leave Me”, “ODO” and more.
