Singing, playing and dancing is what Charles DIMENE has always done in his native Cameroon.
He spent his childhood in Douala (a port city in the west of Cameroon) where he acquired a dense musical base by singing in Baptist church choirs, playing percussion and dancing with traditional dance companies.
He was already attracted to creation when he was 6-8 years old: he created his own plastic percussion instruments and his first travelling orchestra with which he played from door to door.
When he arrived in France, music continued to accompany Charles DIMÈNÉ.
He supports percussion instruments (djembe, congas, bongos, ngoula, udu, tama, multiple small percussion instruments, balafon), string instruments (garaya and 4-string guitar-percussion), wind instruments (pygmy flute, wood flute, Brazilian whistle), and the singing of dancers (including Esther Beaujard, or Frédelyne Charles), actors (including Vicky Messica or Pierre Pirol), slammers, and poets
