Joshua Caraco
Joshua has been learning and playing Kora since 2008. He loves to play, collaborate, and progress. He believes we must respect the great masters and roots of instruments--especially when we are not born of the cultures they come from. He believes if we do that we can still enjoy them as instruments and create new art in our own contexts. Josh recently received a grant from the Oregon Community Foundation with artistic partner Tumelo Michael Moloi to create an innovative musical theater show.
