I sing to overcome separation: in a spiritual way, to become whole and healed, but also the separation between people, nations and cultures. We all belong together, we are one. If I hurt you I hurt myself, If I love you I love myself.
My heart beats for the old music, renaissance and baroque. And I love to melt the cultures. In a chamber music project I mixed opera with arabic music (in collaboration with Nehad El Sayed, Egypt), it was wonderful and I would love to do it again. I have travelled to India several times and have a deep connection to that country. I have been singing mantras and chants from there.
If there are musicians here interested in a project with music from the mediterrean sea, andalusian, arabic, indian and also old european music, I would love to be part of it.
