I am a singer, happiest when following a trail, collaborating with and learning from others in order to create something new from strains of what is already there. What began as a dialogue between a Kansan and a Serb has expanded into Blue Thread, a group that premiered in Portugal in 2017. Our soon-to-be released album features me on vocals with Nikola Radan, flute; Mahshid Iranipast, santour, Zihan Weng, guzheng and Yaniv Yacoby, Irish bouzouki. Together we trace global ballads from China to Portugal to the Ozarks and beyond. The recording is part of a multi-media project that encourages collaboration between diverse artists and ensembles to build bridges through music. When not performing, I enjoy teaching voice, movement and entrepreneurship at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory
