Ifrikya Spirit
IFRIKYA SPIRIT is a group of musicians from an eclectic backgrounds that converge to sounds as fresh as authentic, a claimed Africanity and an open mind to the world music.
IFRIKYA SPIRIT pays particular attention to the purity of the musical sources, but leaves an important margin of freedom by developing a contemporary instrumentation. The result is a mixed and joyful music, which draws its inspiration from the ancestral sounds.
Since 2009 Ifrikya spirit has made itself a place of choice in the Algerian musical landscape.
Currently, members of Ifrikya Spirit are working on a second album for a planned release in celebration of the group's 10-year career.
