Marcy Kimanzi
Marcy Kimanzi is a female drummer/percussionist born in Nairobi, Kenya with a background of musical parents with love for afro-fusion music which influenced her playing though she plays other genres as well. She aims to inspire girls and make them venture into careers that have been traditionally known as male-dominated.
Marcy Kimanzi has performed in DoaDoa Festival, PAWA Festival, CakeArt Affair, Churchill Show among others. She has worked with Motra Music, Rouge band, Night of Honour, Papillion and currently playing at Destiny Life Church.
She is on the journey of growing her skills as a drummer and band manager of Afedape Band which she formed with her female instrumentalist acquaintances. Marcy Kimanzi desires to share music that entertains and inspire girls to access platforms with performance opportunities through her faith in God and passion for the drums and percussion.
