Udi Glaser

About me

London, United Kingdom

My name is Udi Glaser (pronounced oo-di) or Udiguitar. After spending so many years together I feel that I’m inseparable from this wonderful instrument. As a young boy, I remember stretching rubber bands on my tennis racket and trying to create music with them long before picking up a real guitar. I felt proud to be able to play a few “notes”, but oh the pain when they popped off…

In my debut classical guitar album, Through The Glass, I enjoyed fusing different genres, styles and techniques to create a blend of classical music with hints of flamenco, world music, jazz and new age. Alongside the music I wanted to recreate the nature sounds I heard around me while composing those pieces. Whenever I was hiking during my travels around the world, I always had a guitar with me and this album is the culmination of my adventures. I played while leaning on trees in forests, sitting by streams, listening to ripples of rivers and lakes, on top of high hills and around campfires.
