Muhonja is a Kenyan singer, songwriter, actress, guitarist, social activist and self-taught player of the Kalimba, Mbira, Marimba, Shekere and Udu Drum. With her beautiful signature smile Muhonja serenades her audience with smooth and mellow melodies that bring pin-drop silence and tears to your eyes not forgetting those upbeat happy feel good rhythms and powerful dance moves that make you forget your worries most definitely leaving you begging for more, incorporating African chants and prayers. Her themes include teenage pregnancy, corruption, deforestation, love, sex, mental health awareness, death, epidemics like Covid-19 with her own life experiences written majorly in Kiluhya, Kiswahili and English. In her music career, Muhonja has not only won numerous awards but also the hearts of many human beings. In 2019, Muhonja was awarded a Honorary Award for her endless positive contribution to the society, further inducted into the Women Appreciating Women(WAW) Hall of Fame in London!
