Water

Water has always been a part of humanity and it’s evolution. It enables life. But also it entails devastating effects as the latest events show: The rising sea level, hurricanes in the US and floods in Europe bring calamity over the whole world and even kill people. For the Beyond Music Project Vol.3 we wanted to create music expressing the conflicts around water and therefore set the poem „Water“ by Ralph Waldo Emerson to music.

C'est une chanson qui parle des conflits liés aux différences entre les humains. Se haïr juste parce qu'on est différent de l'autre est une folie. C'est une collaboration entre un Péruvien, un Sud Africain et une Camerounaise. Nous sommes allé sur la base d'un style de r'n"b old school et nous y avons rajouté les sensibilités et les cultures de chacun. Ce qui nous a permis de remarquer des similitudes entre nos rythmes locaux.
