Argentine guitarist and composer Leandro Cacioni has explored for several years South American music, especially that from Peru and Brasil, as reflected on his debut album, Sudamericano, where jazz patterns and improvised music are enhanced by elements of Peruvian waltz and samba, among other styles. He is a current member of A Saidera orchestra and the Bandalup collective, known for its gesture-based improvisation, and plays in a duo with Sandra Peralta. His quartet is completed by Tomás Fares (piano), Diego Wainer (double bass) and Agustín Lumerman (drums).

The song is about the greatest and eternal conflict that every human being is called to face throughout his life : the one between his flesh and his spirit, the good and the bad. Note * Susana Orta decided to express the fact that each of us can live finding the perfect balance between both and she illustrated it presenting 3 principal natural and complementary elements from her native area. * Teriba in the song argued that the spirit must always be over the flesh in order to keep a good life
Last May, thousands of people gathered in London in solidarity with the people of Palestine. I was one them - all around me, women were chanting, waving flags, calling for a resolution of the conflict. In that moment, my thoughts went to all the women around the world living in territories torn apart by war where, often, the political sphere is male dominated and women are not allowed to express their political and social views. 'Songbird' is dedicated to all the oppressed women around the world, hoping for their voices to be heard.
San Martin 54 is a music inspired by a house in a town in Argentina where I lived some time ago. Getting away from the city, was at that time, a search to try to clear up the conflicts that, in my opinion, modern life entails ... the way of relating to things, and to people. The music has some polyrhythms and rhythmic displacements, which at times seem to “fight”. At the end of the song, the flute, guitar and percussion improvise, one on top of the other, generating points of clash between musical ideas.
The lyrics describes the struggle or conflict with our past and the internal process of "letting go" to embrace a new beginning.
