I am a violinist working within the fields of Jazz and World Music. I have a particular interest in Indian Music.
I compose for and lead my own bands, most notably "Unfurl" which has performed at all the main UK jazz festivals and "The Owl Ensemble'. Both our albums "Amoghasiddhi" and "Owl" had great reviews and radio play. The Owl String Quartet performed with Paul Heaton from "The Beautiful South".
Within Jazz, I have worked on many projects with illuminaries such as Jean Toussaint, Tony Remy, Matthew Bourne, Kirsty Almeida, Jason Singh, Stuart McCallum and Sylvan Richardson.
Within World Music I have worked with Kefaya, John Meyer, Glenn Sharp and Chitravina Ravikiran, Suns of Arqa.
I have played twice at Glastonbury festival and at major UK venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, Lowry Centre and Bridgwater Hall. I have toured internationally with Tabla player Mukesh Jhadav.
I write string arrangements and work/record remotely from my home studio.
