Prattyush Banerjee
I am a North Indian Classical Musician and I play an instrument called the sarode. Solo recitals of raga music is my chief domain but for more than twenty-seven years now, I have been a session player as also an arranger/composer/producer. I am from the city of Kolkata and mainly remain involved in the regional bengali music, films, plays etc. though I have also played for mainstream Bollywood films. I have featured on some projects with musicians like Pete Lockett, Bickram Ghosh and others. I have done some experimental work with Bach's music and took part at a Bach Festival in Belgium. I have also played on the MTv Coke studio. I have done some redesigning on the traditional sarode and also created an electric version called the Jyotidhwani.
