After spending many years developing as a classical violinist in her native Italy, Valeria left Venice and moved to London to pursue music full time. Inspired by the energy and pulse of London, Valeria began writing her own music and developing her voice as a singer-songwriter. Over the years, Valeria’s boundless musical curiosity lead her to perform with artists spanning a spectrum of styles such as Jazz Jamaica All Stars, ESKA, Neil Cowley, Antonio Forcione, Robert Mitchell, Rhys Lewis, Josienne Clarke and the NU Civilisation Orchestra. Valeria has performed at some of the most prestigious halls and venues in Italy and the UK and has sung at world renowned Abbey Road Studio, where she recorded a cover of George Harrison’s ‘Here Comes The Sun’.
Valeria’s classical background along with her extensive collaborations with these artists seem to perfectly collide and synthesise in her own work. Valeria’s music is not easily pinned down, but rather hovers around pop/folk, indie and jazz.

Last May, thousands of people gathered in London in solidarity with the people of Palestine. I was one them - all around me, women were chanting, waving flags, calling for a resolution of the conflict. In that moment, my thoughts went to all the women around the world living in territories torn apart by war where, often, the political sphere is male dominated and women are not allowed to express their political and social views. 'Songbird' is dedicated to all the oppressed women around the world, hoping for their voices to be heard.
This is an original composition about the condition that forces people to leave their homes and escape to other countries. The idea of immigration seems to be misleading as portrayed as a free choice. People most of the time are forced to leave their home and are not necessary choosing to do so even in cases not as evident like war or natural disasters. Run Away is a song about separation and longing dedicated to those that are forced to escape poverty and oppression, leaving everything behind, and that are often not welcomed wherever they go.
the song is about the status of Jerusalem, this small part of land in the Middle East, disputed between Israelis and Palestinians so each claims to be the owner. This song is about an exortation to peace between the two aforementioned parties, the war and hatred not being a factor in the development of a society.
