Juan Andrés Ospina
Juan Andrés Ospina is one of the most active and prominent exponents of a very outstanding generation of Colombian musicians. His wide range of musical projects make him hard to define: he might as well be singing/songwriting, producing and arranging, conducting and composing for big band, touring as a sideman pianist, composing for film, teaching vocal improv, or creating comedy content for the internet. Ospina has collaborated with musicians such as Paquito D’Rivera, Bobby McFerrin, Marta Gómez (Colombia), Banda Magda (US), Sofia Ribeiro (Portugal) and Luisa Sobral (Portugal) among many others, as well as with world famous orchestras such as the WDR Big Band (Germany), the Metropol Orkestra (Netherlands), the Tip Toe Big Band (Denmark) and the Bogotá Big Band (Colombia).
