I studied classical music in Poland and Jazz Mallets Bachelor and Master at the Music Academy in Nürnberg.I was the first jazz female vibraphone player from Poland. At the moment I play some very rare instruments such as the glass harp, array mbira, steeldrum, sundrum, waterphone and more..I love experiments.
In 2014 I founded an annual Vibraphon festival "Vibraphonissimo" in the Metropolregion Nürnberg in order to introduce my instrument to a wider public.I presents the very rare instrument Array Mbira on my latest CD "Crystal silence - Music for Array Mbira". The array is a hand - crafted modern instrument with a unique harp- or bell - like sound made by Bill Wesley and Patrick Hadley. I also play a glass harp (angelic organ, singing glasses) made by Glass Instrument Maker G2. This very interesting instrument made of specially handmade, tuned wine glasses is played by running the fingers around the rim of the glasses.

TTT is an acronym for "TwinsTrophiesTraditions" created in reflection on how (old) traditions can help to preserve culture, yet can also harm our present day communities, children in particular. Twins refers to a very old Igbo tradition (Nigeria) where twins were seen as evil & were left to die. I told this to Mitchi only as an example of old traditions yet she created a deep set of heartfelt lyrics on the beauty of childbirth, deep fears and a Mother's power to survive + Our Cosmic percussion, Fydy followed with a soulful "fatherly" vocal flow
The project combines three different characters of musicians who find each other on the level of improvisation, experiment and make each other resonate. The components consist of (Izabella Effenberg) sounds from rare instruments (including glass harp, waterphone, array mbira), (Wolfgang Eckert) electronic composed music based on sounds of rare instruments and fieldrecordings and (Juan Pablo Villa) experimental, multi-layered singing.
