Clarinetist Annette Maye is involved in world music, jazz, contemporary music and improvisation. She studied jazz clarinet at the conservatories in Cologne and Paris and played with international musicians/ensembles such as Mohamed Mounir, Giora Feidman, Gianluigi Trovesi, Arkady Shilkloper, Gabriele Mirabassi, Glen Velez, Michel Godard, Günter Baby Sommer, Jean-Louis Matinier, Claudio Puntin, Bergen Bigband, Concerto Köln and Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich. Concert tours in Europe, the Middle and Far East, Africa and the USA. Maye's most important formations are "Duo Doyna" and "ensemble FisFüz". In 1998 she received the SWR World Music Award with ensemble FisFüz. In 2016 she received the "Künstlerinnenpreis NRW" of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Numerous CD albums. Since 2013 she directs the international clarinet festival "Multiphonics". She is active as a lecturer at the Cologne Academy of Music. Productions at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus with dir. Robert Wilson.
