Mimi Doulton

About me

Stuttgart, Germany

Hi! I'm Mimi - I'm a British-pakistani soprano and specialise in performing contemporary classical music. I live between Stuttgart, Germany and Hampshire in the UK.

I've worked on new pieces for The Royal Opera, Mahogany Opera, Presteigne Festival, Graeae, Wigmore Hall, Fondation Royaumont and Snape Maltings; with composers such as Errollyn Wallen, Philip Venables, Richard Baker and Samantha Fernando. In 2020 I had a Wild Plum Arts residency with sound-artist Jonathan Higgins and co-created an art installation for soprano, paper and electronics.

I love classical music, jazz, musical theatre, and exploring the experimental. In my spare time I am involved in campaigning for the rights of arts freelancers, and for arts education for every child. I look forward to meeting you all and pushing my musical boundaries!
