Anna Maria Olsson
Anna is a Thai-Swedish violinist and composer whose work combines the sound of the acoustic violin with electronics to create intricately-layered instrumentals. Featuring lyrical melodies and cinematic soundscapes, her music crosses the boundaries between post-classical, minimalism, folk, contemporary classical and ambient.
Anna’s first album, Crossing Lines, features the violin as a versatile instrument, taking inspiration from a variety of genres to challenge the stereotypical image of the violin as a purely classical instrument. Her second album, Circles, has a more cinematic feel and is inspired by the circulation of time and the natural cycles found in our universe.
