The idea of immigration seems to be misleading as portrayed as a free choice. People most of the time are forced to leave their home and are not necessary choosing to do so even in cases not as evident like war or natural disasters. Run Away is a song about separation and longing dedicated to those that are forced to escape poverty and oppression, leaving everything behind, and that are often not welcomed wherever they go.
