Seckou Keita
My music draws from my griot, traditional background, and merges with those who I am blessed to work with. I love to collaborate. Most recently with Omar Sosa, Catrin Finch, Antonio Forcione & Adriano Adewale, Brazilian [to form the AKA Trio], Sharon Shannon and many others. I am currently working on a series of Pan-African Collaborations and have released singles with Aida Samb and Baaba Maal. I was delighted to be awarded Musician of the Year in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2019.
