Ghawgha Taban" is a singer, songwriter and composer from Afghanistan. She started her music career in 2015. She is mainly interested in blues and Afghan folk music, but has published works in various different forms. Ghawgha has not been bounded by styles and it might be hard to relate her work to a specific genre. She is interested in progression, research and exploration; from the history of Afghan music to what's happening in today's music world.
Most of her work consist of social content. In some of her pieces, Ghawgha has disputed violence through Love songs, and has sung in praise of piece; a piece wished by all her compatriots in Afghanistan.

In 2006 a nine year old child with her family among to the trip of ZABOL decapitated. Her beautiful smile even after beheading causes that she called Tabassum (meaning smile in Farsi) and every year she is taken alive. We know that every war has it's own destructive effects, especially for innocent children, the main victims of war. Children in war-torn countries, are borning without even the basic human rights and they see just violence of war in front of their eyes. This song is dedicated to the children of war, like Tabassum.
