Rose Pepper is the name I give to my mother in a poetic/symbolic way. She always wore that scent and so, as I smell it, it evokes her presence and old memories in a very intense way. The conflict about my mother is to be found in the fact that my mother made huge sacrifices for me and my future, to the detriment of her health and wellbeing, which is incredibly noble, irrational and self-destructive at the same time. The only way of overcoming this conflict, to me, is acceptance.
The Blues is a song that paints a picture of wasteful and painful war is to humanity. We are told our governments go to the war to protect our interest but what do you we stand to gain when we lose our loved ones in the process? This song questions the reason for nations waging wars with each other. It's just a sad blues in the end.
"Friend Not Foe" is a song that talks about accepting people we do not understand despite the fact that we can have contrary views about life. Knowing that it's very okay to agree to disagree. We must not all be on the same page, thus accepting our various differences will help us live a less confrontational lifestyle. Should we agree to open our minds to accept those who have different points of views from us, we will learn to be more tolerant and understanding. We will not only grow our sense of empathy but also grow emotionally.
