Torn

Torn is a collaboration between artists from countries as diverse as India, USA and Armenia. The track describes not only the conflict that tears apart people and the world at large, but brings forth the inevitable pain of conflict. The wailing sarangi of Hussain and the evocative vocals of Das tear at our hearts . The huge array of drums and percussion capture the conflict. Stick drums, hand-drums meet cymbals and other percussion to create a sense of war. The forlorn sound of the duduk captures the alienation that results from conflict.
