Hi! I'm Valentijn from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I play guitar and love to make people move and experience freedom through my music. Amongst others I play with brazilectro band Zuco 103 and afro-funk band KOFFIE. The best thing in life to me is travelling/touring with my music and meeting people around the world that have a completely different musical background but still speak the same language. Apart from that I'm a big Circus, Muppet Show, Little Rascals, Chili Peppers, Jackson 5 lover.

Hi! I was asked by Tarik Aslan to for a group with him, Steven Brezet and Hozan Peyal for this project. My studio is in Amsterdam and I had them over for a while. The first days I spend with Hozan to get to know each others way of playing. After that, Tarik arrived. This song started with a rif from Hozan and then this melody popped up in my head and with these chords it got again a sort of brazilian vibe to Hozan's Arabic riff.

My goal was to find a way to put their traditional instruments in a new context. Along the way I also invited the other musicians. So special to create music together with people from such a different background.
