Pennar
Pennar (Karl Madis Pennar) considers himself to be stylistically versatile guitarist, composer and arranger who is strongly influenced by jazz music. He is from a small but beautiful country called Estonia which has very inspiring nature and people. Besides his trio Pennar & Friends he is also active in folk-jazz-pop collective Pillikud (debutalbum Metsaunelm) and many other projects aswell. Currently he is living in Hamburg and is in the middle of his jazzmaster studies in Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. His trio Pennar & Friends' debutalbum "Stories Untold" was released on 6th August 2021.
His idols are artists with great energy and presence like Teemu Viinikainen, Rob Araujo, Freddie Hubbard, Keith Jarret Jarrett, Wayne Krantz, Jaak Sooäär, Vadim Neselovskyi, James Morrison, Arturo Sandoval, AC/DC, Herbie Hancock, Mathias Eick, Butcher Brown and many others.
