About me

Zürich, Switzerland

Folk singer from Venezuela. I play the Venezuelan cuatro and sing music from different cultures and times.

My musical interests travel geographically and get contaminated with the cultures and aesthetics I come into contact with. I was born in Venezuela and raised in southern Italy, between the worlds of joropo and tarantella. My biggest musical development happened in Granada, in Andalucia, where I dove into the culture of flamenco, and from there, my vocal search never stopped, finding beauty in the detail that makes a sound unique. Imitation is my method of learning. I am a dilettante countertenor, and since moving to Switzerland four years ago, I also practice Naturjodel. Among so many different inspirations, I find what all human cultures have in common.

Eager to connect!

Project Music

A lo Alto - سوف وغني

The story begins years ago in Granada, in an evening of music and poetry where the artists met. We spoke about home, we shared songs and vowed to make music with purpose. It is in these dire times, through the call for Songs for Soc Change, that we saw our mission clearly. We took a composition by Mario in Spanish, translated it and fused it with a poem by renown Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. The song is about spiritual liberation through singing, and it is elevated with the voices of two Palestinian women, the talented Rawan and Aicha.
