TangOstinato
TangOstinato is the music project designed and created by two young gifted Italian musicians, pianist Luca Aletta and double bass player Stefano Cardillo. An ambitious and brilliant work, where music leaves room for the unmistakable sensuality of tango. A blend of Astor Piazzolla’s nuevo tango and jazz tango creates a passionate and rhythmic “hue” that communicates an original and intense “touch” to the listener. TangOstinato has published three recordings and the band has performed in some important national and international events and jazz festival. In 2021 the band won 1st prize at “X International Music Competition AMIGDALA” (Aci Bonaccorsi, CT, Italy), Jazz section. In July 2022 TangOstinato duo won the prize “Best Band” at the important “Bucharest International Jazz Competition 2022”, 1st prize at “2nd Swiss International music Competition” (Lugano, Swiss), 3rd prize at 7th edition of “The Rising Stars Grand Prix” (Berlin, Germany).
