Roberto Cecchetto, eclectic and adventurous guitarist with a strong musical identity, begin his musical journey in 1993 joining Enrico Rava’s fortunate group, the Electric Five, and traveled with them across Europe and the world up to 2001. At the same time he start a series of collaborations which led him to join a number of bands and recordings, including Patrizio Fariselli, Gak Sato, Hector Zazou, Gianluigi Trovesi, Maria Pia De Vito, Eivind Aarset, Lionel Loueke, Roswell Rudd, Arve Henriksen and Jan Bang just to name a few.
In 2007 he released “Downtown” his first album as a leader, followed by “Memories” 2009, “Mantra” 2010, “Soft Wind” 2011, “Live at Capetown” 2015 and "Humanity 2020, catching the critics attention as one of the most interesting and innovative musicians of the Italian and European Jazz scene.
During his career he had a chance to perform all around the globe, from Japan to Canada
In 2007 and 2010 he received the Top Jazz award, from the magazine Musica Jazz.
