Born in Turkey in 1985, Ömercan developed a passion for music and nature from a young age. His musical journey commenced with the guitar before transitioning to drums. Under local mentors, he honed his craft and immersed himself in the music scene. Earning a scholarship to the Siena Jazz Masterclasses in Italy, Ömercan expanded his musical horizons. Subsequently, he triumphed in an international contest, securing another scholarship to the prestigious Drummers Collective in NYC, where he studied under luminaries like Peter Retzlaff and Ian Froman. Post-graduation, Ömercan collaborated with diverse musicians in NYC. In 2015, he co-founded "Psychaudio" with Martin Seiler, releasing their debut album "Connect" in 2017 under Kabak&Lin Records. Embracing diverse sounds and cultures, Ömercan focuses on indigenous shaman drums, Native American flutes, bamboo/wooden flutes, and the handpan. His work spans projects in both the USA and Turkey, reflecting his dedication to musical exploration.
