Meira Loom

About me

Bern, Swiss German

Rising with the moon, Swiss-Chinese artist Meira Loom blossoms into the next cycle equipped with a full band. The singer/pianist/composer has already performed on stage with Bobby McFerrin and reached for the stars with her successful solo debut album Letting Go in the summer of 2020. In her endless pursuit of the universal wisdom of life, she is ready to spread her colorful wings and soar to new musical horizons with her band.

With her versatile voice, Meira Loom pursues the universal wisdom of life in her music. She tenderly breathes infinite love at the sight of her sleeping daughter in „Crescent Moons.“ In the French Song „Danseur De Lune“ she sets out on a nocturnal quest for beauty and passion. With a full-length album set for release in spring 2023, Meira Loom will take inspiration from Lianne La Havas and Jamie Cullum to channel her signature sound, Neon Soul.

Project Music

Home

As a Swiss musician living in the Alps, I have always been drawn to music from all over the world. Bringing together musicians from Switzerland, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, we collaborated to craft the song "Home." This composition combines these different worlds to create a universal message that couldn’t be more current: No matter where we are from, we all belong together in humanity on this wonderful Earth. So let’s unite and stand together side by side!

Echoes of Change

Four women from the Netherlands, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Switzerland came together to create 'Echoes of Change,' initially starting as a duo of voice and Guzheng. With Yu’s poems and Cordula as producer, the project blossomed into a vibrant mix of yodels, hip-hop, and Chinese poetry. This urgent anthem calls for global transformation, celebrating our diversity and urging unity. From initial doubt to eventual jubilation, it invites everyone to join the chorus: 'A change will come!' Let's stop the fighting and work towards a better world!
