Alper Tuzcu is a guitarist, composer and a producer, who writes songs that erodes borders between styles and cultures. His music explores the connections between various Mediterranean and Latin American cultures, and aims to make listeners feel inspired, transported and reconnected. His music has been featured on media such as NPR, BBC Radio and RTVé. A dual voting member of Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, he collaborated and recorded songs with Grammy-winning musicians such as Marcelo Woloski (Snarky Puppy), Ganavya (Esperanza Spalding, Residente), and Javier Limón (Paco de Lucía).
His 2021 EP, Raíz, was selected as one of the Top 10 EPs of 2021 by NPR's Latin Alt HD3. His bossa nova composition "Felicidade" has over 2 million total streams on Spotify, and his Turkish song “Uzaklarda” was featured on Spotify's editorial playlists.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music where he teaches classes at the intersection of music production and composition.
