Lisa Wilhelm is a young drummer and composer from Stuttgart, who was recently awarded the Soloist Prize of the Young German Jazz Award. With roots in pop music and fondness for jazz she began her jazz drum studies in Dinkelsbühl 2016 before starting at HMDK Stuttgart in 2018 where she founded the Lisa Wilhelm Quartet in 2020. In 2021, her studies at the Royal College of Music took her to Stockholm before moving to Lisbon to complete another semester at the Escola Superior de Música.
Back in Germany she recorded her debut album "Potpourri - quoted not stolen" with her quartet.
In addition to the quartet, she plays and experiments in a wide variety of constellations with various musicians from Europe. She has already played as part of the "Elbphilharmonie Jazz Academy" 2021 at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, where she shared the stage with internationally renowned musicians such as Matt Brewer, Melissa Aldana, Yaron Herman, Theo Croker, Ziv Ravitz and Julia Hülsmann.
