In her music Berlin-based composer, saxophonist and vocalist Fabia Mantwill encompasses the beauty of our world in a way rarely captured by contemporary musicians. Organic. Creative. And powerful.
She was awarded with the German Jazz Prize 2021 for 'best arrangement' and leads her own signature jazz chamber orchestra – the FABIA MANTWILL ORCHESTRA.
As a composer & arranger she has worked with Vince Mendoza, the Metropole Orchestra (NL), the National Scottish Jazz Orchestra among others. She played at the Elbphilharmonie, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Apollo Theatre Cafe (NYC) and at renown festivals such as Jazz Baltica, XJAZZ, Elbjazz & jazzopen.
Since 2022 she is the creative director of the Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Currently she ist recording and producing the second album with her orchestra.
