Hello Beyond MUSIC,
my name is Aurelien Bethuel Tseo Olendja, also known as "BASE the MAKER," and I am from Cameroon. Since a young age, music has always been a consuming passion for me. I started by falling in love with jazz, a musical genre rich in history and improvisation, which provided me with a solid foundation to explore and develop my own style. Over time, I expanded my musical horizons to include a variety of genres. Today, I consider myself a multidisciplinary musician and eclectic composer. My repertoire goes far beyond jazz to incorporate elements of funk, soul, rock, and even world music. I enjoy fusing these styles to create unique and captivating compositions. My two main instruments are the bass and drums. With the bass, I can create deep and catchy melodic lines, while the drums allow me to bring complex and dynamic rhythms to my pieces. Because the patriarchal minded consciousness cannot see past itself it lives in fear of the divine feminine energy. This energy will not be suppressed nor will she be denied her place any longer. She has demonstrated her wisdom through great patience and tolerance with grace and unbounded intelligence. But she grows tired and weary of the parade of manipulative ideologies that serve no other purpose than to control that which is not controllable. It is with fire and the power of a thousand suns that she emerges and sets course for a new world.
Sometimes to affect change we choose to address the problems at their core. This song however offers an alternative that transcends those things and reminds us it is through cooperation and kindness that we can rise above. Our collaborative musical journey has been in and of itself the best example of how positive energy evolves and nourishes the common spirit within us all. Something magical transpired in the making of this song. Something beyond normal channels. Something we know beyond all else. A simple message best shared through music.
"It starts with a beat, the rhythm of our life" (lyrics) But I had only vocals and piano. That's why an amazing journey started together with "The maker". His afro rhythms brought my words to life. Later we had a perfect match together with Rosario de Marco. He's beautiful guitar parts gave us goose bumps. "rhythm of life" give us good vibes and a feeling good moment. Although we didn't know each other it was if we had always worked together. In our hearts we are free, there are no boarders, no chains. Let us spread this love around the world.
