At early childhood I started playing the drums. I grew up in a small village within Switzerland, close to the german borders. After studying music at the university in Zurich I travelled to Westafrica to learn more about african music. I met my wife, we settled down in Switzerland and moved 2019 with our two sons to Accra, where we are running an cultural space with a recording studio, a stage, hotel rooms and a restaurant.

We No Dey Care What They Say

It was just a jam! A jam with no rules, where anything can happen, where we are exploring new environments, trying to reach where none of us has ever been before. Searching, tumbling, falling and getting up again just to continue our journey to the outerstellar, how we use to call the unknown. Feli was invited to a friends party in the neighbourhood and felt called by the sounds she heard from us. She came closer, climbed the stage and BAM - we were all there. For just a moment we felt the eternity and a band was born - The Massive Tribe!

Hurt You Back

It was "Funky Rob Roy" who pulled Mac Heymann to Beda's Studio to engineer his recording session. Mac blasted Beda's Headphones. The mistrust however led to a deep friendship. A few bars later Mac moved in his room at Beda's premises. It was Susan Augustt who pulled Lor to Beda's Studio to assist her recording session. Lor blasted Beda's mind. He couldnt fall asleep that night before calling and convincing Lor to collaborate for Beyond Music and with his Band "The Massive Tribe" alongside Feli Nuna, Mac and David Odoom.

Don't Stop

Life can be hard. When we learn how to walk we fall so many times, but we always get up to continue our journey. When we become adults, we sometimes forget how to get up again. This song reminds us to never stop no matter how hard our destiny is striking us. And if we are able to do that, then we can socially change and we don't get stuck or even fall back as a society.

Human Being Will Never Change

I am born and raised in Switzerland, but lving in Accra, Ghana since five years. It was the drums who brought me to Ghana the first time in 2001. The idea evolved with time: Let me try my best to connect these two worlds through music. Music doesn't know borders. Beyond Music is giving me the chance to do what I have to do. My friend and musician Elias Kohli from Switzerland has never been in Westafrica before. Ghanaian Singer Susan Augustt has never been in Europe. Creating a song with them is like building a bridge between continents.
