Estrella Acosta
Estrella Acosta is an acclaimed Cuban vocalist known for her captivating performances and deep connection to her Cuban roots. With her expressive voice and heartfelt interpretations, she has gained recognition both in Europe and abroad.
She leads a band of international musicians based in The Netherlands. Together they combine Afro-Cuban music and Latin jazz with modern arrangements and plenty of adventurous improvisations.
Estrella's last two albums have focused on the music of Cuban female composers from the 19th through the 21st centuries. Her recent recording ‘Tierra’ is nominated for a Latin GRAMMY® 2023.
Her festival appearances include the North Sea Jazz Festival, Curaçao Jazz Festival, Madison World Music, World Music Chicago and Sunfest in London, Canada.
