An eternal adventurer of all kinds of musical galaxies, an inventive, uninhibited and talented musician, trained as much in jazz as he is in punk energy, Yann Cléry has been exploring the roots of traditional French Guyanese music for several years, giving it a modern edge with projects such as MOTOZOT, POTOMITAN and KOLOLO in 2017, 2019 and 2022 respectively, fusing different musical currents to create a "whole" that is just like him: eclectic. He has also shared the stage with artists such as UHT° (drum & bass), Booster & Sandra NKaké (jazz electro), The Jazz Liberatorz (rap), Emmanuel Bex (jazz) and Jamalski (jungle ragga) as singer, backing vocalist and/or flautist, and today collaborates with the groups Chlorine Free (funk/electro) and Mo'Kalamity (roots reggae).
His latest album, Yann SOlo (released in March 2023), has received rave reviews from the French press, radio and TV, in both jazz and world music circles.
