The story begins years ago in Granada, in an evening of music and poetry where the artists met. We spoke about home, we shared songs and vowed to make music with purpose. It is in these dire times, through the call for Songs for Soc Change, that we saw our mission clearly. We took a composition by Mario in Spanish, translated it and fused it with a poem by renown Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. The song is about spiritual liberation through singing, and it is elevated with the voices of two Palestinian women, the talented Rawan and Aicha.
