I was born in Bulawayo the city of Kings in Zimbabgwe in a family of three females and five boys. My first guitar practice was from a borrowed guitar from Andy Brown the guitar maestro because of my friendship to his little brother Allen from Mabutweni aka number two in Bulawayo. I learnt some of it from John the bouncer Khanye from New Luveve who was a very kind soul .I learned a lot about Afro-jazz and improvisation then. I used to play rythm for a Makandeni band with John on bass Rueben Hlope on lead ,Free on drums and me on rythm guitar
Soon I moved to the capital city Harare where I met great musicians like Joseph Gondo the late and Solange Bindura . They played Mbira and Guitar respectively and were on demand in local clubs and they introduced me to the mbira jam sessions in Harare and this is how I have developed this guitar - Mbira sound taking it up from where Jonah Sithole left it. I have recorded an album and a number of studio tracks which are work in progress .
