We composed this song as a remix of our Make me Feel song, with Czech, American and other singers (TEZA, Tonya Graves, Aiko) to foster social change in the field of LGBTQ+ rights as human rights. Tonya and Aiko sang this song with me and TEZA (who are both queer) on the biggest square in Prague during Prague Pride march in August. The song expresses the great, uplifting feeling of joy and power when the oppressed minorities get together. It is a song that should bridge all differences, bring love, strength, empathy and compassion, and visibility.
We composed this song (Sound of Freedom) in collaboration with Tereza Lavičková (TEZA), Tonya Graves. Andrea Gabrišková and Sara Vondrášková (Never Sol) sang it to protest against the decrease of freedom we experience in Central Europe due to the war caused by Russia and due to populist governments (in Slovakia, Hungary, Andrej Babiš in Czech Republic, etc.). We sang the song on Wenceslas square in Nov.2023, as part of the celebration of the rise of CZ democratic state in 1989 when people were making the sound of freedom by rattling their keys.
