Recipient of the UN-Human Rights Art Competition Kenya (2023) and the Brazilian Young Talent Africa Music Awards (2023), Juliet Onyach also known as Nile Dawta, is a progressive creative force, a passionate gender advocate, and a pioneering figure in the Neo-Reggae movement in East Africa. Hailing from the vibrant Shauri Moyo neighborhood, nestled in one of Nairobi's informal settlements, her music seamlessly blends roots and reggae music, with conscious African chants to entertain, educate, and motivate towards social change.
