I am Zara Madani, a musician deeply rooted in classical traditions. I am grateful for the extensive training I have received across multiple gharanas. My journey includes collaborations with mainstream artists as an associate producer at Coke Studio, under the guidance of the music maestro Rohail Hayatt, which has been met with widespread appreciation.
The unique ability I have to blend classical and contemporary styles has allowed me to leave a lasting impact on the music industry. I am truly thankful for the recognition I have received, including notable awards such as the SAARC Award and Lux Style Award. These awards remind me of the support and encouragement I have received throughout my musical career.
Beyond my accomplishments, I have found immense joy in sharing my musical knowledge as a dedicated music teacher, passing on the transformative power of music to others.
Written around a traditional Zambian story that Theresa Ng'ambi's grandmother told her when she was a girl, this is a song about the importance of conserving our resources & caring for our natural world so that there is enough for everyone: enough for this generation, and for generations to come. With additional lyrics in Urdu, by Zara Madani, based on a conservation-themed traditional saying from Pakistan.
