Lanik
Hey everyone – I’m Lanik! My story starts in a multicultural home: a Belgian mom, a Swiss dad, many languages, and lots of music. On our family road trips to France and Belgium, we always listened to chansons—Piaf, Dassin, Souchon, Myriam… later also Kaas and Zaz.
But my heart wanted to explore more. I fell in love with pop, jazz, blues, and soul—and then spent three years in West Africa, where I discovered rhythms that completely changed the way I feel music.
In 2019, I launched my solo career, and in 2021 I released my debut album Little Girl: 13 original songs in three languages. My music is a blend of jazz, soul, pop, and French chanson.
Right now, I’m training with percussionist Tupac Mantilla to bring even more rhythm into my music. And I'm working on my second album.
