Yo! My name is VRSYJNES (Pronounced “Versey Jones”). I’m a music producer from South London who specialises in niche genres such as Rare Phonk, Amapiano, UK Drill & Jungle. I like to describe my production style as “smooth-but-hard riddims for the heart”.
I’ve been producing for over 15 years and I got my big international break after I produced 281-330-8004 for BONES in 2013, which lead to me working with fellow underground phonk artists Ramirez, Raider Klan, Dragonmane. I dived into making Alternative R&B producing for Ojerime and Jebonair.
I’ve had my music featured on Soulection, BBC 1Xtra, NTS Radio, Boiler Room, Rinse FM, The Fader & Amapiano Worldwide.
I am HEAVILY inspired by my favourite artist ever, MF DOOM. His soundscapes, audio collages, prolific beats, and bars push me to this day.
The 10 biggest influences to my sound are MF DOOM, Three 6 Mafia, Teedra Moses, SpaceGhostPurrp, Skepta, BONES, Roadside G's, Dj Smokey, J Dilla, & Kenny Beats.
