Brazilian singer and songwriter Carla Ponsi began her career performing her work in bars and theaters in São Paulo.
She graduated in popular singing from ETEC de Artes and the São Paulo State Music School-EMESP Tom Jobim. Carla has performed with great artists, such as Conductors Roberto Sion and Tiago Costa, and musicians Toninho Ferragutti, Renato Braz, Guga Stroeter, Pepe Cisneros and Andrea dos Guimarães.
At the invitation of Regent Tiago Costa, she sang with the Tom Jobim Youth Orchestra at Teatro MASP, in 2023 and 2024.
She was honored by the São Paulo City Council in recognition of her artistic contribution.
In her compositions she seeks to bring rhythms and styles that are part of her country's culture, bringing in her lyrics artistic and historical observations, folk tales mixed with urban and real facts of the Brazilian people, their roots and ancestry.
As a performer, she believes that everything that should be sing is true to what the song provokes.
Lately we are facing serious environmental problems and most of these problems are caused by human behavior, so we created this song as a wake-up call to take better care of the environment because this way, we can avoid further damage.
