Cill

About me

Social Activist
Merseyside, Liverpool, United Kingdom

I am Cill (Chioma Ogbonna), a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. Born and raised in Edo State, my musical journey began in childhood, influenced by my family's love for music and my brother's diverse music collection. This early exposure to various genres, combined with my father's passion for classic music, instilled in me a deep appreciation for music and a desire to express myself through song.

My music is a unique blend of alternative music, Afro-fusion, Afro-soul, and folk, infused with a distinct African flavor. My debut EP, "Something Cilly," features catchy and uplifting songs about love, life experiences, and personal growth. I recently released my single "Echi," a song borne from a deep-seated desire to raise awareness about environmental issues. With the generous support of the Ford Foundation, Accountability Lab, and Luminate Group, I embarked on an ambitious project: to create a song that not only resonated musically but also served as a powerful visual statement.
