I'm Itumeleng Leso, a Johannesburg-based sonic and visual artist working under the name [kimetsu.]. I grew up in Ivory Park, and much of my work is shaped by memory, place, and a family lineage of healing through rhythm. I make music, DJ, write through my Substack, and explore how sound can carry emotion, history, and silence as much as melody.
I'm interested in building immersive listening experiences that blur the boundaries between ambient music, broken beat, jazz improvisation, and experimental electronic sound. Whether I'm performing, producing, or writing, I'm drawn to collaboration, curiosity, and finding new ways for people to connect through listening.
